Apple September Event Highlights

Did you miss Apple's September event? If you did, don't worry, because in this post we're going to cover all the highlights so that you can stay in the loop!
iPhone 13
The highly-anticipated iPhone 13 will come in five colors: pink, blue, midnight (black), starlight (aluminum white/silver) and red - check out our favourite features below.
Storage & Battery
iPhone 13 users can enjoy more storage than ever before, with all models starting at 128GB. And with up to 2.5 hours more battery life on iPhone 13, and up to 1.5 hours more on iPhone 13 mini - you can store more for longer.

Display
OLED display for iPhone 13 gets 28% brighter — up to 800 nits, making it easier to see in full sunlight. And it still goes up to 1200 nits for HDR content. You’ll notice bright whites, true blacks and every shade in between, yet the display conserves power better than ever. The Super Retina XDR display has an ultra-high pixel density, so photos, videos and text look super-sharp. And the display is even more expansive, thanks to a smaller TrueDepth camera area.

5G
The world is quickly moving to 5G. Streaming, downloading — everything happens so much faster. 5G is even fast enough for serious multiplayer gaming, sharing AR videos and more. With Smart Data mode, iPhone will automatically switch down a gear to save power when you don’t need all that speed.

Camera
The new camera system includes cinematic mode, Dolby Vision HDR recording, night mode selfies, and much more, allowing you to up your selfie game!

Apple Watch Series 7
Similar to iPhone 13, the new Apple Watch Series also enjoys a range of five new colours: midnight, starlight, green, blue and red. The new Watch will be available later in the Autumn. Discover more below.

Design
The larger display enhances the entire experience, making Apple Watch easier to use and read. The borders have been reduced by 40%, allowing for nearly 20% more screen area than Series 6, and over 50% more screen area than Series 3. This has enabled a larger display while barely expanding the dimensions of the watch itself. Apple Watch is now both crack and water resistant. You can even swim with it up to 50m depth!

Display
Series 7 now enjoys Always-On Retina display. This means you won't need to raise your wrist or touch the screen to see the time or other information. It’s now also 70% brighter indoors when your wrist is down.

Health
With series 7, you can measure your blood oxygen level, take an ECG, check your heart rate, and track your sleep. You can also tap into dozens of workouts with Apple Fitness+. There are new workouts every week, from 5-45 minutes, including HIIT, strength, pilates and yoga. Guided mindfulness meditations are also available to help you with your mental well-being. You can sync all your personal metrics from Apple Watch straight to your iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.

Battery
Series 7 charges in no time. The entire charging system for Apple Watch Series 7 has been rethought to get you up and running faster than ever. With an updated charging architecture and a fast-charging USB‑C cable, it takes about 45 minutes to go from 0-80%. Series 7 boasts 33% faster charging than Series 6.

iPad mini
The new iPad mini comes in four new colours: space gray, starlight, pink, and purple.

Design
An all-new enclosure features a new edge-to-edge screen, along with narrow borders and elegant rounded corners. Touch ID has also evolved, and is now integrated into the top button for fast, easy and secure authentication. Apple Pencil now magnetically attaches to the side of your iPad mini, making it easier than ever to quickly take notes or doodle.

Camera
The Wide camera on the back of iPad mini features a 12MP sensor with Focus Pixels and a large aperture to capture sharp, vivid photos. And the new ISP in the A15 Bionic chip enables Smart HDR 3, for capturing even higher-quality images. Are you a fan of Facetiming? Well Centre Stage now makes video calls even more engaging. As you move around, the camera automatically pans to keep you centred in the frame, and when others join or leave the call, the view expands or zooms in.

Battery & 5G
You can enjoy all-day battery life with the new iPad mini. And with new 5G capabilities, you can access the fastest available wireless networks for downloading files or streaming movies, without having to worry about battery life letting you down!

iPad
iPad's A13 Bionic chip makes everything more responsive - from messaging, to web browsing, to using multiple apps at once.

Camera
The 12MP Ultra Wide front camera brings a huge boost in image quality, for even better selfies and group shots. The 8MP Wide camera on the back of iPad captures sharp, vivid images and video. The versatile back camera also lets you scan documents and experience immersive AR apps. You will also find Centre Stage on iPad.

Display
With incredible detail and vivid colours, the 10.2‑inch Retina display is perfect for watching movies, working on a project, or creating your next masterpiece. True Tone adjusts the display to the colour temperature of the room to make viewing comfortable in any light.
