Event Recap: Highlights and Insights

IFA 2023 Venue

IFA Berlin brings together close to 2,000 exhibitors hailing from 49 different countries, attracting nearly 240,000 attendees from 133 nations across its expansive 285,000 square metres of exhibition space. The event space was split in a few main categories such as: robotics, IoT, Home Appliances, Home Entertainment and Consumer Electronics - which are focused around technology. It’s worth mentioning that approximately 63% of trade visitors come from the European Union and Switzerland, with 20% travelling from Asia and Australia, 12% from various other European countries, and the remaining 5% representing visitors from the USA, Canada, Africa, South America, and Central America.

Proudly Leading with Our Brands

We were so proud to see our brands Nomad, MUJJO, Woolnut, Satechi and NUKI glowing at the international event, showcasing their latest innovations and forging valuable connections in the global market! It was inspiring to see how they blended creativity, cutting-edge technology, and a deep understanding of consumer needs to deliver products that resonate with a diverse international audience.

While on our journey, we had the opportunity to get a sneak peek at the latest iPhone 15 cases created by Mujjo. We are thrilled to announce that we will soon be featuring them on our website, as we firmly believe these represent the finest offerings ever crafted by Mujjo. Our team met Erik (the founder) & Eric (the head of Retail) from WOOLNUT. We can say one thing about their products: WOOLNUT's leather is timeless, and soon you will discover their new high quality pouch products at MegaMac.

Nomad's IFA booth was a treasure trove of their most coveted offerings, including the exclusive glow strap that left us in awe. Our encounter with Noah, the visionary founder, and Montserrat, the charismatic Account Manager, was like a teleportation to the sun-kissed coast of Santa Barbara, filled with incredible stories and infectious positivity. As we ventured further into the event, Satechi's showcase did not disappoint. Their impressive array of products, from docks to hubs, left us eagerly anticipating the release of their upcoming innovations. And last but certainly not least, our meeting with Peak Design, a brand soon to join the MegaMac family, was nothing short of captivating. Their commitment to eco-friendliness and their ingenious product range, notably the bike mounts, left us utterly enthralled – a true testament to their fresh ideas and innovative spirit!

Exploring Uncharted Territory

Withings Watch

We fell in love with some brands which we had the opportunity to explore for the first time! One of them is the French company called Withings and their health and fitness watch that is used in conjunction with devices such as compatible thermometers, scales, sleep analysers etc. All the data is communicable with Apple Health too! The minimalist design goes in pair with an extra efficient battery that lasts 30 days from the charging. How cool is it to have a simple, classic watch with features like ECG, body temperature tracking, water % in your organism, heart rate, and oxygen saturation checks using the ScanWatch and Body Scan?

Another fantastic product we discovered is a fabric steamer from a Swedish brand called Steamery founded in 2014. Their products were very minimalistic and high quality. The brand has some valuable information about clothes care and organising your wardrobe on their website. With help from the Steamery product you will get wrinkle-free clothes in no time. You can supply yourself with not only a steamer but also a fabric shaver, laundry detergent or a clothing brush! Treat your wardrobe in a Scandinavian style. And if you don’t know how to start, their tutorials will open the door to the modern world of steaming for you.

After-Hours Adventures

In our downtime at IFA 2023, we had an opportunity to sightsee in beautiful Berlin. The city's history, culture, and dynamism make it a captivating place to explore and learn about. From the iconic Brandenburg Gate to the remnants of the Berlin Wall, history is ever-present, serving as a poignant reminder of the city's past. We explored Berlin, visited local bakeries, and dined at restaurants to fully immerse ourselves in the spirit of Germany's capital. One of our suppliers, Chris from Softline, recommended a popular neighbourhood bakery - SOFI. This minimalist pastry heaven offers artisanal bread, pastries & cakes, plus coffee — check out that croissant!

Otto Restaurant

Another place we visited in Berlin was a restaurant called Otto. It's a small eatery, with high quality ingredients which they source locally in Germany. We highly recommend sitting next at the bar to see into the magic of their open kitchen. The intimate, industrial-style venue with a leafy terrace provides a stunning atmosphere. We tried a selection of their dishes, our favourite was the beetroot soaked in sloe berry juice. Of course, we had to have a dessert - yoghurt ice cream with berries and baba. Yes, it tasted as good as it looks in the picture!

Cheers to a Spectacular IFA 2023

This event has truly exceeded our expectations in every way. It has been an incredible opportunity to discover new and exciting brands like Steamery and Withings, whose innovations and elegance in design left us thoroughly impressed. Moreover, the chance to meet in person with our existing partners has allowed us to strengthen and tighten our relationships, fostering a deeper sense of collaboration and trust.
